Well, as a geologist, I think this is pretty cool. Using the Avenza Maps app (free for up to 3 maps) on my smartphone, I can see my location on the geologic map and which formation I am standing on or driving by. That is nifty! This map also includes generalized litholgoy descriptions of for the soils and rock types, and names/ages of formations which cover the larger areas. This map takes geologic field reconnaissance to a whole new level.
